What do I need to know about the 9 mm rifle ?

What are the characteristics of the 9 mm rifle ?

What ammunition to use to load it ?
It can be loaded with two types of 9 mm calibre ammunition: conical or round bullets / single or double-charge lead cartridges.

Why 9 mm Flobert ?
The 9mm rifle is often supplemented with the name Flobert. This name corresponds to the arms manufacturer Louis Nicolas Flobert who developed the first annular percussion cartridges in 6 and then 9 millimetre calibres. They are the ancestors of the 22 LR cartridges.
What does the law say about this weapon ?
The 9 mm rifle is classified as category C. In order to obtain it, you must hold a valid hunting licence or shooting licence. A proof of residence of less than three months is also required. After purchase, it must be declared to the Prefecture.
