Characteristics of the Gamo Big Cat Hunter rifle

Traditional air rifle, the Gamo Big Cat Hunter, with a great wood stock,  is perfect for recreative shooting and plinking.

In .177 caliber, it can shoot al the pellets in this caliber, that you can adapt according to the use : flat pellets for precision shots on targets, pointed pellets for plinking...

It develops a power of 19.9 Joule, and is also remaining in category D, and can be sold to any person over 18 years old (not declarable).

Its stock is made of wood, with a cheekpiece on the left side. More comfortable for a right-handed person, it is however very good for left-handed ones.
For the comfort of the shooter, it has a rubber butt plate, allowing to dampen the recoil on the shoulder while shooting.

The barrel is made of rifled steel.
The rifle has a manual safety, a lever located just in front of the trigger, allowing to sercure the gun, and avoiding any uncontrolled shot.
About the sights, thhe Hunter has natural sights, front and rear, with luminous optic fiber, and a dovetail rail (11 mm), to mount a scope or a red dot.

The airgun is provided with a great scope GAMO 4x32. It is also delivered with its 2 mounts for 11 mm rail.

Using the pellet rifle

Take the habit to engage the safety before loading the rifle.

The Gamo Big Cat Hunter is break barrel action :

  • unlock the barrel, with a tap at its end
  • pull it down completely until the spring engages ("click")
  • insert the pellet
  • close it back in its initial position
