Telescopic baton

The telescopic baton is a defensive weapon that is used to outrun and impress an aggressive individual. It consists of a sheathed handle and several retractable steel or nylon elements. To deploy them, simply lower the truncheon with a sharp blow, and to store them, press the end of the last element. The telescopic baton is available in several models, lengths and diameters. It is a category D weapon that is available over the counter for those over 18 years of age. Most of the time, it comes with a storage case.

What does the law on the telescopic baton say?

As with all defence weapons, the telescopic baton requires a legitimate reason to be transported. Even if it is usually provided with a protective case, do not forget that you will have to provide a justification for its wearing and transport in case of control by the police.
