Specifics

The Ek Cobra R9 crossbow pistol has 2 very interesting technical features :

a quick arc assembly/disassembly system by spindle (no screws), very practical for transport,
a simplified arming system using a lever under the handle.

Use of the crossbow pistol

Mounting the bow : Slide the retaining pin from right to left (without removing it) to free the slot. Slide the bow in, and then put the pin back in, in order to block the bow.
Arming : Engage the safety. Unlock the cocking lever under the handle by pulling the lock backwards. Push this lever forward until the string catches (the safety will engage), then return it to its initial position and lock it.
Place an arrow on the rail, and slide it up to the rope retention hook: if the arrow is not pushed all the way in, the anti-pulling system will remain engaged, and the shot will not be able to be made.
The crossbow is ready, all that remains is to disengage the safety and shoot.
Tip : remember to grease the rope regularly (every 5 to 10 shots), to preserve its life span.
