The N°8 is one of the classical of the brand Opinel, thanks to an ideal size for many diffrent uses, in the kitchen, for barbecues, during camping, fishing or hunting, sport activities, as for small tinkering.
The blade is made of 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel, extrememely resistant, also well-known for its cutting edge and easy maintenance. Its shape, named Yatagan, is inspired from a turkish saber with a "raising" point.
The blade is 8 cm long.
The ergonomic handle is made of beech wood, well known for its hardness and resistance. It is varnished, to give a better protection against soils and humidity.
The hadnle is 11 cm long.
Of course, it has the famous VIROBLOC safety ring, that locks the blade open, or closed a double safety, in use or in transport!
